The
Digital Office 5.0 desktop shortcut icon is
programmed to open the software using the free
Adobe Reader viewer software.
To
use the powerful full PDF 4.0 or 5.0 software
upgrade, you must create a new shortcut
that will open the software using PDF instead
of Reader.
CREATING A NEW SHORTCUT
Option
A:
1)
Right Mouse Click on your Computers Start Button,
and Select> Explore.
2) Find and Open the Programs Folder.
Find and Open the ProForce Folder.
3)
Open the ProForce Folder, and Find a File named:
CD-ROM_Contracts.pdf
4)
Right Click on the CD-ROM_Contracts.pdf
File and Select "Create Shortcut".
5)
Copy the New Shortcut.
6)
Close, or Minimize all Open Windows,
until your Desktop Screen is Viewable.
7)
Right Click on Your Desktop Screen, and Select,
"Paste".
8)
Done! A New Shortcut is Now on your Desktop.
9)
Delete the old Digital Office Shortcut
your Desktop.
10)
Right Click on the New Shortcut, and Select:
"Properties".
11)
Select: "Change Icon", and Choose
a Colorful Icon from the Menu, Click Apply.
12)
Test the New Shortcut, by Clicking on it. You
Should see the Adobe 4.0-5.0 Editing Toolbar
on the Left Side of the screen.
Option
B:
1)
Right Mouse Click on the Computers Start Button,
and Select> Search.
2) Next Exactly Type: CD-ROM_Contracts.pdf
in the "Search for Files and Folders Named"
Text Entry Box.
3)
Select: "Local Hard Drive (C:), in the
"Look In" Drop down Menu, and Start
Search.
4)
After Search Results finds the File, Right Click
on this CD-ROM_Contracts.pdf File, and Select
"Create Shortcut".
5)
Right Click on the New Shortcut, you just Created,
and Select "Copy".
6)
Close, or Minimize all Open Windows, until your
Desktop Screen is Viewable.
7)
Right Click on Your Desktop Screen, and Select,
"Paste".
8)
Done! A New Shortcut is Now on your Desktop.
9)
Delete the old Digital Office Shortcut your
Desktop.
10)
Right Click on the New Shortcut, and Select:
"Properties".
11)
Select: "Change Icon", and Choose
a Colorful Icon from the Menu, Click Apply.
12)
Test the New Shortcut, by Clicking on it. You
Should see a New Editing Toolbar Located on
the Left Side.
Setting
the Internet Settings for Digital Office

___ Open Digital Office 5.0.
- ___
From the top toolbar "File" option
select "Preferences".
-
___ In "Web Capture", select: "Never
Verify Stored Images".
-
___ Next, select, "Open Weblink in
Browser Window", click "OK",
and exit this section.
Setting
the Internet Browser and E-mail Preferences
The following steps will correct Digital Office
Internet Browser, or E-mail Errors.

___ Open Digital Office 5.0.
- ___
From the top toolbar "File" option
select "Preferences".
- ___
From the "Preferences" submenu,
select: "Internet Settings".
- ___
Check the box: "Internet Explorer
Should Check to see whether it is the default
browser".
- ___
Next select: ''Programs", and verify
the e-mail program you use is listed.
- ___
Under extreme Internet Browser error circumstances,
select the "Connections" option,
and click the "Setup" option.
Setting
the Default Image Editor
The following steps will setup a default image
editor
-
___ Open Digital Office 5.0.
- ___
From the top toolbar "File" option
select "Preferences".

___ Browse for your image editor choice with
the buttons on the right.
- ___
Once selected, click OK.
- ___
Next, using the lower left toolbar button,
click the lowest button and hold.
- ___
You'll see a black arrow. Select the arrow
to edit images.
Setting
the Slide Show Automation Features
The following steps will setup the presentation
options

___ Open Digital Office 5.0.
- ___
From the top toolbar "File" option
select "Preferences", and "Full
Screen"..

___ Select "Advance on Every Click,
and Select a Number in the Seconds Category"..
- ___
Do not select > Loop after last
page.
- ___
Select background color as: "White",
and "Escape Key Exits".
- ___
Select "Random" in the default
transition window, and exit.
